- Villa Mart: Open 7 days per week. In February, normally open 8 am to 7 pm. Accepts US cash, Jamaica dollars and Visa/Master Cards. You can open a tab with a credit card. The mart has wine, beer, snacks, food, clothes, phone cards and tourist items. The Mart does deliver. Prices could be higher than in town due to convenience. Phone number is 954-9390. - Beach Bar: Open 7 days per week. In February, normally open 9 am to 9 or 10 pm depending on how busy they are. Accepts US cash, Jamaica dollars and Visa/Master Cards. You can open a tab with a credit card. Phone number is 630-3228. Operated by Shane Hoo.
- Beach Grill: Affiliated with the bar and open for lunch and dinner. Great for a snack. Hamburgers, jerk chicken and pork and excellent French fries. There is no ATM located on Silver Sands property and US travel checks are not widely accepted.
- Julet’s Restaurant – Located at fisherman’s beach which is located on the beach just before you enter the gate at Silver Sands. Small local place to eat specializing in Jamaican food such as jerk pork, jerk chicken, fried chicken and peas and rice. Can serve a family style meal for roughly $15 per person. - LeRoy’s – Local bar at Fisherman’s beach.
- Fisherman’s Beach – Located at then end of the road which goes to the water in front of the gate house outside of Silver Sands. There are a number of local huts which sell T-shirts and small gifts as well as professional carvers.

THE TOWN OF DUNCAN LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 2 MILES AWAY HAS THE FOLLOWING PLACES OF BUSINESS:
- Chen’s store: Michael Chen owner. Phone 954-2020 or 954-2779. Fax: 954-2225. Open: Monday – Thursday 8am-5pm. Saturday 8am – 8 pm. This is a general store located in the heart of Duncans. I have been dealing with the Chen family for more than 40 years. Popular items sold: beer, wine, soda, spirits, coffee, jelly hot sauce, soap, phone cards, cheese, milk, snacks, cereal and paper goods. Accepts US dollars, J dollars and credit cards.
- Bakery – Next to Chen’s.
- ATM – 24 hours, located between Chen’s and the Bakery. Max withdrawal is JA$15,000 or around $125 plus fee.
- Pharmacy- Open Monday – Sat. 9 am to 7 pm, phone 954-9141, located near Kiki Rouge.
- Post Office – Open Mon – Friday, 8am–5pm. Phone 374-9025.
